In many parts of the world, the hope we have in Jesus is not only misunderstood—it is despised. That was the reality for Solomon*, a brother in Christ we met in Asia as we provided training at a discipleship event.
Despite the risks, Solomon felt called by God to bring the gospel to an unreached region in his own country. When he arrived, he met a grieving mother who had recently lost her son. Because Solomon was close in age and resembled him, she welcomed him as family.
But when Solomon went into the city to share the message of Jesus, the community rejected him violently. Instead of listening, they broke both of his arms and left him bleeding in the road.
It was the grieving mother who came to his rescue. She cared for him, nursed him back to health, and watched as he endured pain with the grace of Christ.
Out of Solomon’s suffering, God brought redemption. Through persecution and an unlikely friendship, the truth of the gospel began to take root. In time, the flame of repentance and forgiveness spread—and many in that once-closed community have now come to faith in Jesus.
At MEDIA Alliance, we are honored to stand with Solomon and other courageous believers like him. By providing training, encouragement, and tools for ministry, we help equip faithful servants who risk everything to make Christ known. Their sacrifice is great—but together, we can remind them that their work is not in vain.
