This August, MEDIA Alliance International hosted its second Asia Forum, a regional gathering designed to encourage and equip Christian media leaders from across Asia. The event was held in Indonesia and brought together leaders from Nepal, Mongolia, the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The Asia Forum is part of MEDIA Alliance’s ongoing vision to strengthen the global Christian media community. Each Forum is intentionally designed to connect ministries that may not know one another, provide training and encouragement, and create space for leaders to share what God is doing in their unique contexts.

“The forum was a wonderful and encouraging experience,” said one participant. “and I was truly blessed to meet Christian media content creators from different countries.”

Throughout the Forum, participants engaged in teaching sessions, discussions, and praying together. These times of learning and fellowship consistently inspire leaders with fresh vision, new partnerships, and encouragement to press on in ministry.

The trip also included a visit to Mercy Indonesia, a ministry led by longtime MEDIA Alliance friend Paulus Wiratno. Mercy Indonesia provides a home for children in need, offering them loving care and raising them in a Christian environment where they have the opportunity to grow and know Jesus. Forum participants were deeply moved by the stories of transformation coming out of this ministry, and our president, Dr. Ron Harris, was given time to speak to their staff.

As with every MEDIA Alliance Forum, the Indonesia gathering ended with leaders leaving refreshed, renewed, and better connected—ready to take what they learned back into their own communities.
